With the very strange times that we find ourselves in at the moment, looking after our health and wellbeing has never been more important.

In our normal busy day to day lives, we don’t always think about our personal and family’s wellness as much as we should. It’s very easy to get overwhelmed with work and other responsibilities, as well as finding it even harder to switch off thanks to the wonders of technology.

Sometimes the best thing we can actually do to relieve some of the pressure is to actually try to switch off and do nothing! Free yourself from any distractions and relax your mind, with your mental wellbeing being just, (if not more!) important than the physical.

Switch Off

We know that it’s difficult, but try and put your phone down. Switch it to ‘do not disturb’ or even better, actually leave it in the house. We’re so lucky to have such great technology making our lives easier, but being tied to our phones is proven to be detrimental to our wellness. The break from social media alerts, texts and phone calls will allow you the space to focus on just relaxing.

Sweet Dreams

We know that not everyone sleeps well, from stress to aches and pains, there’s lots of different things that keep us tossing and turning at night. Adding a dip in your hot tub before bed to a relaxing bedtime routine can really help!

A short soak an hour or so before bed can help relax your mind and body ready for a more satisfying night’s sleep. Studies show that when you sit in a hot tub, your body temperature slowly and naturally rises. Once you get out of the spa, your body temperature starts to cool.

This cooling process is what helps you to feel relaxed and ready to go to bed, emulating the natural cooling process that happens once you fall asleep!
